This section applies only if you're using Singularity and a Web Browser or Newsreader.
Most Web Browsers (e.g. ArcWeb) use a cache of files so that things don't need to be repeatedly downloaded if you visit them regularly. When the Web Browser starts up, it does a lot of housekeeping on its cache files. This can cause Singularity to go a bit bonkers and can crash Singularity, ArcWeb, the entire computer, or any passing aeroplanes.
To this end, you should always configure Singularity so that it ignores the directories where your Web Browser or Newsreader, or whatever keeps its cache files.
{subhead}What to do about it
Easy, really. Just open the Singularity configuration window and drag the directory where your cache is kept onto the 'File Paths to Ignore' box. For most newsreaders I imagine that this will be inside the application itself. So, for instance, just drag !ArcWeb to the box.
